Menorca island: an emerging yoga retreat tourist destination

Menorca is one of the best preserved natural treasures in the Balearic Islands, a true paradise of light, calm and nature blessed with incredible beaches and coves with turquoise waters, a multitude of unspoilt landscapes, a network of trails that run the length and breadth of the island, a unique heritage of monumental cities and prehistoric monuments and a pure, clean air that invites you to relax and unwind.

Minorca is one of the few places in the Mediterranean that has managed to conserve a large part of its nature intact, finding a good balance between tourism and respect for its natural heritage. Also in August we find clean and uncrowded beaches, moderate traffic and a peace that can be felt and breathed.

We will stay in two beautiful country houses in the heart of rural Menorca. The first two weeks we repeat at Casa Binialaya, in the municipality of Alaior, and the third week at Casa Damajuana, in the municipality of Ferreries, both traditional renovated fincas in the centre of the island, close to iconic beaches such as Macarella, Cala en Turqueta or Cala Galdana, unspoilt areas such as the natural park of s’Albufera des Grau, and charming villages such as Binibeca, Fornells, Maó or Ciutadella.

A week’s holiday doing what you love, fine-tuning body, heart and mind with yoga, breathing, meditation and nature; in a healthy, conscious and fun environment; visiting the island at your own pace or in shared cars, living the experience with new friends and nourishing yourself with delicacies for body and soul.

The proposal is open to everyone, whether you practice sporadically or regularly, or if you have just started with the adventure of yoga.
